| Though still young in years, Dr. Eleanor Robson belongs to the leading Ancient Near Eastern scholars worldwide. Her highly innovative research in the area of the history of knowledge and the history of science sets new standards in the field of Ancient Near Eastern studies and beyond. In particular, the work of Dr. Robson revolutionize our knowledge of Ancient Near Eastern mathematics as documented in cuneiform sources, which later were to become the foundations of the mathematical lore of the classical civilizations of ancient Greece and Rome. |
